SourceCode is a quarterly digital magazine for employees across APAC. I shaped its visual identity and built a flexible layout system that made each issue more consistent and easier to produce.
System logic and workflow
Working with editors across regions, I shaped the layout system and guided the design direction.
I designed a modular grid and reusable layout components for text, imagery, data visuals, and pull quotes. This reduced one-off design work and kept pages consistent across issues.
Each layout was shaped around evolving content, with attention to rhythm, hierarchy, and clarity.
I also guided reviews and refinements through each stage, ensuring that the final issue carried a unified visual voice.

Interaction and navigation
Issues included navigational cues and jump-to-section behaviors, giving the PDF a simple interaction model. I designed layouts to support smooth transitions between stories and to help readers maintain orientation across large volumes of content. The system also adapted to multiple surfaces, including desktop reading, internal newsletters, and presentation excerpts.
Result
The template system reduced layout time and created a calmer, more consistent reading experience—allowing each issue to settle into a clearer visual rhythm.
